The injury bug continues to plague the Minnesota Timberwolves, as last year they were decimated by injuries to their stars Kevin Love and Ricky Rubio, and eventually to role players like Chase Budinger. After having a strong start to the season, Bud went down with a knee injury.
Having rehabbed the knee he started to see some major swelling leading up to training camp, and now it's been revealed that he's sustained cartilage damage to his knee, and will likely be out for awhile.
The Wolves were hoping to build a contender around their all-world forward Love, and the electric Rubio, plus bruising big man, Nikola Pekovic. This will be the third season the core has been together, and if they can't at least crack the playoffs then it will be a tough sell for the franchise to keep the team together.
