The Memphis Grizzlies have advanced to the Western Conference Finals for the first time in franchise history, and along the way on their playoff run the fantastic Memphis fans have been going wild at games. A classic Memphis-produced track, “Whoop That Trick,” from the soundtrack off the Academy Award winning Hustle & Flow has been adopted as the anthem at the Grind House (Fed-Ex Forum).
DJ Paul, the Memphis-bred rapper and producer of Three 6 Mafia fame, took to Instagram to show his support for the Grizzlies, posting a Memphis Grizzlies ball cap on top of some guns with the caption “Memph 10 ‘We Don’t Bluff’ @djpaulkom @drummaboyfresh coming soon!!!!”
Just as “Whoop That Trick” has become the anthem, “We Don’t Bluff” has become the slogan for Memphis team and fans. The phrase is a nod to Zach Randolph, who, when asked about potentially coming to blows with a player said, “There's a lot of bluffin' going on the court, that's all, you know. And I don't bluff."
Check out the “We Don’t Bluff” video from DJ Paul, and expect this Grizzlies team to continue to pound and grind, and also expect their fans to continue to show intense support
