Fans clamoring to see Derrick Rose play his first game at the United Center since April 2012 could be in for trick and no treat Thursday.
Chicago Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau said at the team's morning shootaround that Rose was a game-time decision because of a neck injury he is recovering from after Tuesday's regular-season opener at Miami.
The Bulls' lost to the Heat 107-95 in Rose's return to NBA regular-season action, his first game since tearing knee ligaments against the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2012 postseason.
Rose was taken aback by Thibodeau's assessment of his physical state and said Thursday morning "Hell yeah. For sure, I know I'm going to play."
