Coming within a game of winning last year’s championship, the San Antonio Spurs were fine with making minimal changes to their squad over the off season, and giving the Big 3, along with some minor upgrades on the bench, another chance.
One of the surprise players of this year’s Playoffs was Gary Neal who had a fantastic NBA Finals, but became rather expendable once the Spurs landed Marco Bellineli in the off season. Now ESPN’s Marc Stein is reporting that the Spurs have withdrawn their qualifying offer and Neal will become an unrestricted free agent.
