A game between the San Antonio Spurs and Minnesota Timberwolves that was originally scheduled to be played in Mexico City on Dec. 4, 2013, was rescheduled for the Target Center on April 8 at 7 p.m., the NBA announced Monday.

The game was postponed about 45 minutes before tipoff when a generator malfunctioned and filled the arena with smoke. The game was part of the NBA's efforts to generate international interest.

The NBA said that logistics and scheduling conflicts prevented the game from being rescheduled in Mexico City.

The Timberwolves were giving up a home game for their involvement in the event, so the rescheduled game was moved back to the Target Center.

Timberwolves' season ticket holders will be given priority to buy tickets for the game.
