Spurs call up F Thomas from D-League

The San Antonio Spurs signed forward Malcolm Thomas off the NBA D-League's Los Angeles D-Fenders.

Thomas averaged 33.5 points and 15.5 rebounds in two games for the Defenders this season. Thomas has played in 15 career NBA games. He played three games for the Spurs in 2011-12 and had stints with the Golden State Warriors and Chicago Bulls last season.

Thomas left San Diego State as the program's second ranked all-time shot blocker with 127. He averaged 11.4 points, 8.1 rebounds and 2.0 blocks his senior season in 2010-11.
