"(Harris) could be one of the best guards I've ever coached," Izzo said Thursday.
Harris said he lived in the gym in the offseason, and Izzo said his improvement is significant. Harris and three other starters return from a team that won 27 games and played in the Sweet 16. Michigan played in the national title game but lost guards Trey Burke and Tim Hardaway Jr., who were NBA draft picks.
Harris was the Big Ten Freshman of the Year last season.
