The Boston Celtics are desperate to get their floor general back, or maybe they wish he'd take a year off, guaranteeing them a ping pong ball… Regardless, Rondo says he'll be back by the All-Star Break. As per a Celtics beat writer;
Rondo said he's had no setbacks at any point: "I'm just taking my time…It's just a feeling. I'll probably just wake up that morning & play."— Baxter Holmes (@BaxterHolmes) January 10, 2014
Since his first full practice w/ team in December, Rondo said he feels 10 times better: "I feel more confident, stronger, more explosive."— Baxter Holmes (@BaxterHolmes) January 10, 2014
Rondo hasn't ruled out the possibility that he'll suit up for a D-League game to get his feet wet before jumping back into his usual role. One thing's for sure, the NBA needs some of its premier point guards to come back from injury, and we'll be looking forward to Rondo's return.
