The New Orleans Pelicans announced Friday that point guard Jrue Holiday is out indefinitely with fractured right tibia.

Holiday played 29 minutes in Wednesday night's 102-96 loss to the visiting Washington Wizards, but it is not clear how he was injured. He scored eight points on three-of-11 shooting with three assists, three rebounds and three steals.

Holiday is averaging 14.3 points, 7.9 assists and 4.2 rebounds in 34 games this season.

The Pelicans host the Dallas Mavericks on Friday night.
