The Pelicans are reportedly looking to move Eric Gordon, who, despite finally staying healthy, has failed to produce numbers worthy of his contract. Thats not to say Gordon's 15.6 points per game are bad, but he's due $14 million this year, and $30 mil over the next two. Sell high, New Orleans.
“He has been healthy and he has played better,” one league executive said. “But he is a still a long way from living up to what you have to pay him. His contract is still the big reason they are not able to do anything with him at this point.”
The Pelicans are hurting on the front court with Ryan Anderson out, and although Gordon, Evans, and Holiday could be a formidable lineup, the lack of size is killing them defensively.
