Paul Pierce Disses J.R. Smith, Doesn't Know Who He Is
Members of the Brooklyn Nets continue to respond to players on the New York Knicks, who have something to say about their NYC rivals.
Knicks Sixth Man of the Year, J.R. Smith, had said his squad could win a championship, which brought on some ire from both Jason Terry and Reggie Evans of the Nets. Now Paul Pierce responds to Smith, by basically not responding to him.
Asked about the comments the Knicks swing made, when he referred to Pierce as "bitter" after being traded to Brooklyn, the former Finals MVP acted as though he had never heard of J.R. Smith.
"Who? Who?" Pierce repeated Thursday when asked about Smith's comments.
Asked again, Pierce said, "Who? Exactly. Who? Who are we talking about right now? Exactly. Who are we talking about? We are talking about nothing.
The two teams haven't even played a game yet since the Nets pulled off their blockbuster trade. Also don't forget the bad blood left over between Kevin Garnett and Carmelo Anthony. Expect this to be an on-going story line next season, as both teams battle to make it out of the East, and to cement themselves as the best team in New York City.
