Miami Heat Sign Michael Beasley
Second time could be a charm for the former No. 2 overall pick (on possibly his 5th try???), as the Miami Heat have invited the recently released Michael Beasley to training camp.
Beasley was cut by the Phoenix Suns after he was busted on another marijuana possession charge. Phoenix as a franchise were at their wits end with the talented scorer – who offered them much else.
Now the two-time defending champs are welcoming him back to Miami on a non-guaranteed contract.
In a dramatic and extraordinary move, the Miami Heathave invited their 2008 No. 2 overall NBA Draft pick Michael Beasley to training camp, with a contract that exposes the team to no binding commitment.
After previously emphatically denying the possibility of a reunion following the forward's buyout release from thePhoenix Suns last week, the Heat, according to a source familiar with the situation, will bring Beasley back on a non-guaranteed, make-good contract.
