LeBron James was put on the spot recently and asked to name the Top 3 NBA Players of All Time. He came up with Michael Jordan, then stuttered into Larry Bird, and finally Doctor J, and when pressed realized he passed over Magic Johnson and asked to expand it to four.
Magic caught wind of this, and sent out a tweet praising LeBron’s game, but then said rings are all that matter, and ranked all five of the players according to titles which put MJ first, Magic second, Bird third, LBJ fourth, and Dr. J fifth.
Lebron is entitled to his opinion, but I still think that he and I have a similar game and that’s why I LOVE to watch him play!— Earvin Magic Johnson (@MagicJohnson) August 22, 2013
NBA Championship rings are all that matter; Jordan 6, Me 5, Bird 3, LeBron 2 and Dr. J 1.— Earvin Magic Johnson (@MagicJohnson) August 22, 2013
Wonder if 7-time NBA champ Robert Horry will chime in with his ranking.
