Lamar Odom Has Proof He's Sober But Cancels Meetings With NBA Teams

Even though there have been countless alleged sources verifying that Lamar Odom is using hard drugs like crack, he is maintaining that he's not.  Looking to keep his NBA career in tact, Odom has been speaking to several league executives about a possible contract.

According to TMZ, LO had set up meetings in New York to meet with some teams and prove to them he was sober, as their only hesitation with signing the two-time champ is his alleged drug abuse.  Apparently he was bringing "proof" that he was not taking drugs which included blood and urine samples.

Lamar Odom is flying to New York later today ... to meet with honchos from several basketball teams, and he's carrying what he claims is proof that he's clean and sober ... sources connected with Lamar tell TMZ.

Our sources say on Tuesday ... Lamar underwent blood and urine tests for drugs, and he tested NEGATIVE for drugs.

This is consistent with what other sources have told us about his time with the Kardashians on Tuesday. We're told he was lucid and showed no signs of being under the influence of drugs.

Unfortunately, shortly after this story broke, Lamar called off the meetings.  Perhaps it was because he did not want paparazzi bothering him, and he became anxious, who knows.  If the reports that he had these meetings set up are true, and he bailed at the last minute then this doesn't bode well for The Goods.

Whatever his issues, hopefully Odom can resolve them, and we can see him on the court in the not-too-distant future.
