In response to Kobe being out at least 6 weeks, the Los Angeles Lakers have signed Kendall Marshall from the Delaware 87ers of the NBA D-League. Yes, the 87ers are an NBA affiliate.

Marshall was averaging 19.7 points and just under 10 assists per game in the D-League. The young guard should be able to contribute right away, after all, he was the 13th overall pick in the 2012 draft.

It's certainly not a "problem solved" mentality in LA, but they desperately needed a point guard. On the other hand, Marshall is being given a golden opportunity to rebuild his young career, after being cut by the Wizards.
