Kris Humphries is making the final move to finally wash his hands of his ill-fated engagement to Kim Kardashian. A source has learned that the new Boston Celtic is looking to auction off his engagement ring which he bought for Kim for around $2 million, but unfortunately, possibly due to the public circumstances of their fallout the ring is speculated to earn only a quarter of the price which Kris paid.
Mail Online reports that while the ring has not officially been announced for auction, a ring with the same dimensions has been listed, and is believed to be Kardashian’s former ring.
Apparently Kim didn’t just hand the ring over once the engagement was called off, and the NBA forward won the 20-carat ring in the divorce settlement of their 72-day marriage.
The NBA star is said to be selling the Lorraine Schwartz ring that he gave to Kardashian at an upcoming Christie's auction in New York.
The ring is expected to sell for between $300,000 and $500,000- which is less than a quarter of the price that the ring was said to have cost originally. [...]
It is made up of a 16.21-carat rectangular cut diamond which is then flanked by a 1.80-carat diamond on either side.
All told, that adds up to just under 20-carats
