Lakers fans lost Dwight, but saw signs of hope as Kobe Bryant is recovering speedily from his Achilles injury and “shattering” previous timetables for recovery. He had hoped to play in the season opener, and even had a doctor say it looked like he might be able to, but at this point he is unsure.
Speaking to Time Out Dubai, Mamba was asked if he would play in the Lakers first game, and he says now he’s unsure. Although he does add that he is still ahead of the timetable, so you’d expect that even if he missed the first week or so, he’d return to action soon. It’s just not easy keeping KB24 off the court.
More time has passed in Kobe Bryant’s recovery from a torn left Achilles tendon. But the Lakers star still hasn’t received any clarity as how that will translate when he returns to the basketball court.
‘I don’t know [whether] that means I’ll start the season – I hope so,” Bryant said in a recent interview to Time Out Dubai to promote hisupcoming trip there later this month to host a basketball clinic. [...]
“I’m feeling pretty good,’” Bryant said, ‘stronger than I was. I’m ahead of [my recovery] schedule.”
