Kevin Durant has kicked off his European tour with his first stop being in France. You can read the official press release from Nike below, and see some nice pics of KD taking in the sights of France (including the Eiffel Tower, obviously), and a basketball tournament.
Unlike, LeBron in the Philippines, Durantula decided to sit this one out, but don’t be shocked to see him balling with the international talent as this tour continues. Kevin’s a true hooper and can’t help himself.
Nike hosts Kevin Durant on his first tour of Europe beginning Sept. 3 in Paris and continuing to Milan (Sept. 6) and Rome (Sept. 7) with a final stop in Barcelona on Sept. 9. Durant will participate in an array of events and activities while in Europe, aiming to inspire young athletes, as part of the Kevin Durant Investigates (KDI) “New Season. Are you Ready?” program.
While officially kicking off the tour in Paris for his first full day in town, Durant took time out to visit iconic sights of the French Capital, stopping at the Eiffel Tower. Later in the day, Durant is meeting with a group of young Parisian basketball players at le Centquatre cultural center for a tournament and skills challenges.
As is becoming seemingly customary when players go on international tours with Nike, Durant went on a talk/game show of sorts and was shooting ping pong balls into a makeshift hoop fastened atop a dude's head.
