Kareem Says Oscar Robertson Was Better Than Jordan & LeBron
The Greatest Of All Time discussion is in full-swing these days as LeBron James is viewed as the undisputed best player on Earth, and whispers are starting that he might have what it takes to dethrone Michael Jordan. Factor in Jordan saying he would beat both LeBron and Kobe Bryant one-on-one in his prime, and you have a whole lot of people questioning who would beat who from different eras.
“LeBron is awesome, MJ was awesome — but I think Oscar Robinson would have kicked them both in the behind,” said Abdul-Jabbar when asked about James and Jordan. “Absolutely. Oscar was awesome. He had brains. [...] He had all the skills.
“He could rebound and box out guys four and six inches taller than him. He was ruggedly built. He had fluid, quickness, and just understood the game. No flair, he just got the job done every night. Who’s going to average double figures in points, assists and rebounds?”
There could definitely be some bias here as Oscar was in his prime when Kareem was young, and the two won a title together with the Bucks, but overall it's just more fuel to the fire of the on-going GOAT Debate.
