The Suns (7-7) had won two in a row after losing four straight, and again played without guard Eric Bledsoe (left shin contusion).
Guard Ray Allen finally gave the Heat some separation by hitting back-to-back 3-pointers to put the Heat in front 87-73 with 9:56 left in the fourth. Allen found the mark three times in the fourth quarter after missing his first three attempts from that range in the first half. Allen finished with 17 points off the bench.
Former Suns forward Michael Beasley was also effective for the Heat off the bench, finishing with eight points and six rebounds. The Heat bench players combined for 36 points as forward Chris Andersen also had 11.
Phoenix had six players finish in double figures, led by forward Channing Frye's 16.
NOTES: Suns G Eric Bledsoe missed his fifth consecutive game with a left shin contusion. "He goes out there every game and tries to see if it will loosen up and it hasn't yet," coach Jeff Hornacek said. The Suns hope to have Bledsoe back by Wednesday when they return home to face Portland. ... Heat G Mario Chalmers also did not play Monday due to a tight hip flexor. G Norris Cole started in his place for the second time this season. Cole's previous start came Nov. 16 in Charlotte, when Chalmers was suspended for a game. ... The Suns face the Blazers on Wednesday, exactly two weeks after suffering a frustrating 90-89 loss on the road. Phoenix missed a layup and two tip-in attempts in the final seconds of that game. ... The Heat opens a two-game road trip beginning in Cleveland Wednesday followed by a trip to Toronto Friday. The Heat swept the season series against LeBron James' former team 4-0 last season and has won the last seven meetings between the two squads.
