File this under “Hilarious & Mildly Ridiculous”: after being ejected from the Miami Heat’s American Airlines Arena during Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals, Flo Rida’s manager has been contacted by the NBA and warned not to return to AAA for Game 6 or 7 of the NBA Finals.
While the Heat were blowing out the Pacers in Game 7 of the ECF, Flo Rida’s manager, Lee “Freezy” Prince, started exchanging heated words with Indy reserve Jeff Pendergraph, and eventually he was asked to leave. At first he was insistent that he was not leaving his courtside seats then Flo strongly suggested he just leave.
Now Lee Prince says he has received emails and phone calls from the NBA and their attorneys warning him that if he attempts to enter the building for the deciding games of the Finals that he will be arrested. Freezy seems confused, and has attempted to reach out to the league feeling that when he was heckling Indy players it’s no different than when other notable names on the sideline do it, telling The Ticket Miami on 104.3, via SB Nation:
“What I did was no different than what Spike Lee does for the Knicks, and what Jack Nicholson does for the Lakers...The Spurs are just scared, they don’t want that feeling to erupt around them. Whoever sits in those seats tonight they better represent...The Spurs are done tonight, even they know that. They done.”
Asked if this meant that Flo Rida would also not be attending the games, Prince simply said, “We ride together.”
Game 6 is tonight in Miami, and if the Heat win Game 7 will be this Thursday. Hopefully the Heat can somehow find a way to rally without Lee “Freezy” Prince’s support.
