Dwyane Wade has been running a fantasy basketball camp for adult men, aged 35 and up, for the past three years and he will continue the trend in 2014. The video is some highlights from last year's camp, which looks like a good time for any dude who is looking to avoid a mid-life crisis by running suicides and working on their vertical leap.
All jokes aside, the camp is very hands on and features a team of former and current coaches, and even appearancse from Kevin Hart and LeBron James. Some former players even get in on the full-court runs, which make the experience even more enticing.
A full description of the camp via Rubenstein Communications;
“Camp participants will enjoy an exciting weekend of fun and intense competition with four days of tournaments, special events, seminars, networking opportunities, and the chance to learn from the pros. The DWFC has been led by world-class coaches and leaders including Miami HEAT’s own Erik Spoelstra, Indiana University’s Men’s Head Coach Tom Crean, University of Miami’s Men’s Head Coach Jim Larranga, and NBA Legend Rick Barry. The DWFC has included past appearances from actor Will Smith, rapper Young Jeezy, comedian/actor Kevin Hart and other professional basketball players such as LeBron James, Chris Bosh, Udonis Haslem, Greg Oden, Raja Bell, Alonzo Mourning, and Tim Hardaway, Jr.
The Dwyane Wade Fantasy Camp debuted in Miami, Florida in 2011. After receiving many requests from fans, challenging him to one-on-ones, Wade decided to take on the challenge by uniquely hosting an elite, weekend-long event for campers who were willing to take their game to the next level. Men ages 35 and older from all over the United States accepted the challenge and lived out their fantasies while going head-to-head with some of basketball’s greatest coaches, players, and trainers.”
