Over the weekend, Toronto rapper Drake returned to his hometown and held his annual OVO Fest (October’s Very Own), which featured a slew of performances and high profile names in hip hop such as Kanye West, Lil Wayne, J. Cole, OVO’s The Weeknd, and many more.
For the first year, Drizzy also organized an OVO basketball tournament along with Canada’s CIS program, OVO Bounce. Newly signed Detroit Piston Brandon Jennings played, along with Toronto Raptor Amir Johnson, and also former UConn standout, Denham Brown.
Other NBA players were in attendance such as Toronto local, and number one overall pick, Anthony Bennett, plus his new Cavalier teammate Tristan Thompson. NBA rookies Kelly Olynyk, and Andrew Nicholson were also in attendance along with projected first overall pick and future uber-star Andrew Wiggins.
Drake himself was on hand for the championship game between his Team OVO and Team 5 Guys. Check out the video below for highlights of the game, and the gallery above to see some pics of the YMCMB rapper and notable NBA talent.
