Derrick Rose left last night's game against the Blazers after injuring his knee on a non-contact play, and the basketball world was waiting with bated breath to get the MRI results.
It's not the worst scenario, as it was not an ACL tear, only his meniscus, but he will miss time and is out indefinitely.
Subsequent examinations and an MRI confirmed a medial meniscus tear to his right knee, which will require surgery. Rose is out indefinitely, and will not accompany the team on the rest of its current road trip.
This is obviously more frightening because Rose is coming off recovery from his ACL injury, and could be a sign that he may have trouble staying on the court in the future. Ths Bulls are already without their starting two guard Jimmy "Buckets" Butler with turf toe, and will be hard-pressed now to keep pace with Indiana and Miami in the East.
