Looks like Larry Sanders really won't be missing Brandon Jennings presence in the Bucks locker room.
Speaking about his role on his new squad, Jennings said he'll relish being a playmaker for the Pistons as he had to shoot the ball a lot in Milwaukee because of the lack of offensively skilled big men. Sanders was asked to comment on this and called the point guard a ball hog saying, "He has to pass it to them first."
Jennings now defends his earlier comments and says that with the talent the Bucks had he and Monta Ellis "had to take those shots. For [them] to get to the 8th spot." He then throws in an aside on Sanders' contract extension, "But hey, they gave him $11 million."
Jennings on Larry Sanders' comments: "I had to. Me and Monta had to take those shots. For us to get to the 8th spot, we had to." #Pistons— Vincent Goodwill (@vgoodwill) October 3, 2013
Jennings: "I wasn’t taking shots at Milwaukee but let’s be honest. I have 2 of the best young big men in the NBA. not gonna sugarcoat it."— Vincent Goodwill (@vgoodwill) October 3, 2013
To end it, though, Jennings said: "But hey, they gave him (Sanders) $11 million."— Vincent Goodwill (@vgoodwill) October 3, 2013
