Being forced to seven games in the Eastern Conference Finals, and narrowly winning a must-win Game 6 and pulling the Finals out in seven games, many have wondered if the Miami Heat can three-peat, or if they should look into trading Dwyane Wade or Chris Bosh.
The Heat's big man had the question poised to him if he, LeBron, and D Wade would stick together following this season when they can opt out. Bosh gave a diplomatic, and seemingly correct, response by saying that if they can continue to win then there will be no reason for either of them to leave.
"With everybody being under contract and having no tomorrow, it’s kind of exciting because we know what we have to do for one and then, two, it’s like it helps you focus on what you need to do in that moment instead of next year or whenever. If we take care of business, we know everything is going to be all good. So, we just have to take that mentality and that kind of erases all the doubt."
They'll be hard-pressed to three-peat, but right now Vegas odds have them as the favorites to win the title. Health will be vital - as it always is - in their quest for a fourth straight Finals appearance and third straight championship. If Wade's knees don't hold up, or if Bosh can't stay on the floor then it will be tremendously difficult for Miami to win a seven game series against the Pacers, or the Bulls just to get out of the East.
