Thanks to its 72-70 road victory over Michigan on Saturday, Arizona retained the No. 1 spot in both the Associated Press and USA Today top-25 polls released Monday.

The Wildcats (11-0) received 63 of 65 first-place votes in the AP media poll and 30 of 32 first-place votes in the coaches poll.

Syracuse and Ohio State remained No. 2 and 3, respectively, as the top three spots in both polls were unchanged from last week.

Wisconsin is No. 4 in the AP poll, while Louisville holds that spot in the USA Today rankings. Michigan State is No. 5 in both polls.

Kentucky, which was No. 1 in both preseason polls, slipped to No. 19 in the AP poll and No. 21 in the coaches poll after its loss to North Carolina dropped its record to 6-3.

Kansas, which was ranked No. 2 on Nov. 18, is now No. 18 on the AP poll and No. 19 in the USA Today rankings.

North Carolina, which had dropped out of the AP top 25 earlier this month, climbed to No. 14 in this week's AP poll. It is No. 18 in the coaches poll.
