The Detroit Pistons are hoping that Andre Drummond will be the face of the franchise for the future, and the athletic big man has impressed this summer with the work he put in and dominating the Summer League.
One glaring weakness in his game is his paltry free throw shooting. Last year as a rookie, Drummond connected on only 37% of his freebies. Looking to right the ship, Andre has been experimenting with different techniques - which is similar to when people suggested Shaquille O'Neal should shoot his free throws underhanded - and he posted a Vine showcasing his new style.
Obviously, a behind-the-back free throw can't yield a high percentage, and Drummond was just having some fun, but there's nowhere to go but up for the man who shot back-to-back airball free throws. I think at one point I saw someone shoot two airball free throws during an intramural game at University, but can't recall seeing it done in an NBA game before.
