The New York Knicks made some moves this summer, by acquiring Andrea Bagnani, and Metta World Peace, but nothing too drastic.  They are hoping that another year together, plus having key players like Amar'e Stoudemire return healthy, will help them make a deep run in the playoffs and win that championship J.R. Smith is so sure is theirs.

Good news for NY as STAT has been practicing at the Knicks facilities with his teammates, but at this time he is still not participating in scrimmages.  Amar'e is healthy - or about as healthy as he can be with his bad knees - but is just protecting himself from unnecessary injury.  The former All Star forward is predicted to play only 20 minutes a game this season.

Stoudemire will be on a minutes limit this season to protect his knees. He likely will play no more than 20 minutes a night. Last season, he was limited to just 29 regular-season games due to debridement surgeries on both of his knees.
